Following several years of waste segregation and recycling, using in-house procedures, the Directors have decided to take a more formal and documented approach to the way that we handle waste management and the effect that this has on the environment. Continuous improvement in environmental management is an essential element within our overall business plan. We believe that increased productivity and quality standards can be achieved through minimising waste, pollution and the correct consumption of resources.
The company is implementing an Environmental Policy to drive forward improvements in the environmental performance of the business and it is intended that all company employees are made aware of this decision and encouraged to fully support this initiative.
The documented system is designed to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and it is anticipated the company will achieve certificated compliance by December 2009.
